Stax of Soul are a professional 9-piece soul band from the Greater Manchester area comprising of Memphis Soul Stu (Stuart Widdall – vocals), Don Parfitt (keyboards), Darren Roberts (guitar), Paul Phillips (saxophone), Pete Lee (trumpet), Steve Valentine (trumpet), Rick Halliwell (baritone sax)………this is most of the original line-up but with 2 new members, Pete Clark (bass guitar) and Paul Rigby (drums).
This band recently re-formed after about a 5-year break but now feel the need to go back on the road again after many requests from their fans.
